This is coming together fast… We just got the word that the House Transportation Subcommittee #2 will be reviewing Delegate David Toscano’s HB 1683 tomorrow morning. Bike Charlottesville is rallying cyclists from all over the region to attend the subcommittee meeting in support of HB 1683. If passed in the House and Senate (SB 928), it would extend the safe passing distance from 2 feet to 3 feet – an important step forward for cycling safety in Virginia.You are invited and encouraged to help out. Please come to Cycling Lobby Day on Wed, Jan 19th and/or call the legislators in the House and Senate committees who are deliberating over HB 1683 and SB 928.
