The good folks at Charlottesville Community Bikes are again organizing their popular Bake ‘n Bike Valentine Scone Sale to raise awareness and funds for Charlottesville Community Bikes and Books Behind Bars. The cycling community’s past support has been integral to the success of this FUN fundraiser. We hope you’ll pitch in again this year as a volunteer or participant. If you’ve never seen a cherub on a bike delivering scones on Valentine’s Day, you’re in for a sweet treat.There are lots of ways you can get involved: volunteer, order scones for friends and loved ones, and encourage others to share the love.
- gather costumes and bike decorating stuff and deliver to Lucy
- come to Mo’s house on Sat, Jan 29th at 10am to make the cards
- pick up donations on Feb 12th or 13th from area businesses
- come to Sojourners on Sun, Feb 13th from 2-5pm to set up the kitchen, do bake prep
- come to Sojourners and bake with us on Mon, Feb 14th starting at 3am going all day-ish
- come to Sojourners on Mon, Feb 14th at 9am to gear up to bike out deliveries (in costume!)
- help clean up the kitchen at Sojourners on Mon, Feb 14th
- order scones!
- tell your friends to order scones!
